A couple of athletes have recently advised me it is definitely good to do weak side training like a basketball player training the weaker hand or baseball switch hitters, especially since I’m a novice – not yet too locked into one side. I can work on both sides at the same time. In elite judo competitions the wins are supposedly 50/50 left/right, yet of course most of the players are righty’s. That says a lot. If you can seize the opportunity no matter what that’s the key.
