I love coffee but it doesn’t seem like a good idea to drink much of it before internal exercises, especially push hands exercises. It seems to lift my center and qi up and interfere with the ability to sink. My partners in my last session said I felt “springy” yet stable which I take as a good sign but internally I can tell the neigong is a bit off after a bit too much caffeine. Will try to stick to green tea. Funny because some people like a little caffeine before typical external exercises.
